We submitted our request for an ATV route along County Road T from Chipmunk Hollow Road to
Lakewoods Drive to the NWTA. It will be presented to Douglas County Transportation
Committee for approval. The committee that makes recommendations on trail routes will
meet on November 4 at 9:30 a.m. at the Highway Department, 7417 South County Road E, Hawthorne, MN.
Anyone interested in attending this meeting in support of the trail is encouraged to do so.
The more representation we have present will improve the possibility of this being approved.
The committee will also meet in December and January and present their recommendations to the County
Board for a vote in February.
The club’s ATV ride on October 10 was a success. We had 35 machines and 51 people
participate. Thank you to Jack for planning the ride and Mark for cooking hot dogs.
We had a work day on October 17 to brush the new section of trail and install gates. Thank
you to everyone who helped. Jon suggested we install posts to protect the survey markers.
A load of gravel was dropped on the trail along Chipmunk Hollow Road to prevent washout, but
will likely need another load.
Chuck will be sending a request to the town to open Island Lake Road from Stop A Sec to View Point to ATVs.
Meat Raffle – There is no meat raffle on Nov 7 as the Chipmunk is closed.
Next meat raffle is Nov 21. Youngquists volunteered to sell tickets.
Mark and Deb will get the wreaths for the landowners.
Election of officers – President Chuck Younquist (2year term), Treasurer
Jean Breitung (2 year term), Secretary Doris Youngquist (1 year term).
There were no other nominations.

Received a request for a donation to the Wascott Children’s Christmas Party.
A Deb/Mike motion passed to donate $200 and a notebook valued around $100 for a gift.
Received a $250 denotation from the Up North Campground as a thank you for the use of our
tractor to repair their driveway during a recent storm.
Several months ago we had a discussion about working with the town to reroof the structures
at the park. At that time, the town had not budgeted for this expense in 2015.
Jean suggested that we approach the town again as they are discussing the budget for
2016. Chuck feels the town should lead this project.
A work day has been scheduled for Saturday, November 7 to brush the snowmobile trail.
Anyone available to help should meet at the club building at 9:00 a.m.
Due to the holidays, our next meeting is December 5.
Meeting adjourned on a Dennis/Marlene motion.
