The treasurer’s report was approved as read on a motion by
Dennis and a second by Mark. THANK YOU to Viewpoint for the generous donation
to the club!!

Old Business
-
Bills were sent to landowners for cost of signs on new portions
of trail. $100.00 was received from Charlie Finstad which included a donation
to the club. Bob Snieder is collecting money from his neighbors.

New canopies have been marked and placed in boxes for easier
storage.

Charles purchased a new limber and brush cutter for the club.

Mark discussed plans for ballpark: new planking and rails for
bleachers and new benches for players - $500.00 to $700.00, a flag pole for
about $1,500.00, in the future resurface the playing field with clay and
another drag. We need to replace one of the grills under the pavilion (It was
stolen). Purchase a new playground set at Sam’s Club (about $1200.00). We
should place an ad in the paper to get some input from residents about needs at
the ballpark and let them know it is available for use. The new Wascott Parks
and Recreation Committee will be doing an inventory of recreation resources and
asking the community for input also. Motion by Mary, second by Dennis to do
playground and flag pole yet this fall. Motion carried. Charles made a motion
to replace grill, second by Mary. Motion carried.
New Business

We will plan trail work when it gets cooler.

Sign coming into ballpark was repaired and painted for $47.45. Motion
by Dennis, second by Bob to pay Charles for the costs. Motion carried.

The grader will be going out after rain.

Discussion of Food and Fun: Motion by Mark, second by Kay to
purchase a child’s battery operated car for a raffle board. Motion carried. Mary
will fill large jar with balls and tees for a new game, with a WTDA gift
certificate for a prize. ($50.00). Same food as last year. We will up the beer
and have 4 regular and 6 light with possibly three spigots for another option.
Charles will check on it. Mary offered to make potato salad. We will hold one
raffle for the end for people to use tickets ($100.00 in gas). Jack and Jean
will not be taking care of raffle prizes this year.
Motion by Dennis to adjourn, second by Charles. Meeting adjourned at 10:43. Next meeting is August 25th.
