Old Business
-
Trail report: Tim and Charles each groomed the trail once. Water pump
blew and had to be replaced by Charles and Jon. Charles made new signs
for both ends of Trail #3.
-
Discussion about trying to get more funded trail: With the age of our club,
there is little desire to add more time and work to what we have at this point.
If we get some younger members who want to get involved, this may change.
-
Grading of trails: We will check with some of our land owners about grading
their sections of our trail one time to level them out.
-
Meat raffles: Feb. 4th, Marv and Patti Feb. 18th Wayne and Mary
-
Winter Ride: Will leave the store at 8:30 and stop in Ashland for
breakfast. There is still time to sign up for the Feb. 13 and14 trip.
-
Wascott Tourism and Dev. Association: Poker Run is this weekend.
They support us and we should do the same for them. Buy a card at a local business.
-
Lookout: After some discussion it is clear to the members that we are
alienating some of our businesses as a result of questioning Lookout’s
status as a member. At least two have suggested that they would not be
on the Tour of Businesses if the issue didn’t come to an end. Charles
made a motion to drop the issue and try to maintain a good working
relationship with our businesses which we have had in the past.
Second by Mary. Motion carried by unanimous vote.
New Business
-
Jan reported that there is no Department Head of Forestry at this
time. Also, there are not many meetings scheduled at this time of
year. She informed the club that Roger Wilson and George Graven
are running for her position on the County Board.
-
Jon had tickets to sell from Cozy Corner for the Booya.
-
Discussed need for an ATV sign to direct 4-wheelers down the signed road
during SWORDS Poker Run and keep them off private property if the weather
stays warm and it is an issue with land owners. We will talk to SWORDS
Club about this and the land owners.
-
Tour of Businesses will be April 8th. Mark your calendars. This
will be sent out and on the web site.
Motion to adjourn by Charles. Second by Jan. Meeting adjourned at 11:35.
Respectfully submitted,
Patricia McDermott
