January 26, 2008 - 4 Seasons Recreational Club Monthly Meeting

The secretary’s report was approved on a Charles/Chuck motion.

The treasurer’s report was approved on a Mark/Mick motion. The club would like to thank Al and Debbie Carpenter for the very generous donation as well as the Golden Chipmunk for the meat raffle donations and Crystal Lake Bar for the proceeds from the donation box.

Old Business

The Children’s Christmas party went very well, but since we are trying to buy a better quality of gift, we may be asking each group for a $200.00 donation again next year.

We have a new/safe ladder for the building.

Snowmobile maps are here and available when needed.

The club ride will leave from the Stop a Sec at 10:00 on the 9^th of February.

ASV will still take orders for what is in stock. We had a hydraulic leak last week and cost of new filters and oil to replace what was lost was $299.56. Motion by Mark to pay the bill, second by Wayne. Motion carried. The trails are in very good shape at this point.

New Business

Since we had neglected to discuss our annual winter raffle at the last meeting, the officers got together and voted to go ahead with it again this year. Anyone who wants to sell some $5.00 tickets can contact me – 466-4510 – to get them. The drawing is March 29^th.

Bill was turned in for 1/3 the cost of a new ink cartridge for the secretary - $30.60.

Decided not to sell tickets for Great Lake Resource Alliance or get involved with Polaris fund-raiser.

A bill was submitted by C&C for winter raffle tickets for $162.50. Motion by Mick to pay, second by Charles. Motion carried.

We are still exploring new insurance to replace our present company at a lower cost to the club.

Tim had paperwork for the non-stock incorporation papers to be paid and returned.

New ATV road routes will be given to the Town of Wascott for approval in May or June. Requests must be in writing to the club before then. Doug Busch had information requesting an addition to trail to be reviewed after the meeting

Tim discussed maintenance budget and supplemental funds. We may want to order some gravel to fill in some spots on the trail.

Many requirements/points must be met in order to fund a new portion of trail.

D.C. Chamber is looking for ATV/snowmobile trail pictures.

AWSC Convention report needs to be filled out and signed for voting delegate – Tim.

There have been some changes in our insurance from Schwartz and Shea; there may be some money coming back.

There will be a new web site by AWSC to buy/sell snowmobiles.

More information will be coming on the deer hunt season for next year. Since we have so many county trails, we don’t have as big a problem with it.

There are 3 snowmobile classes coming up in Amnicon.

Mark will groom the week of February 11^th if it is needed, and Tim will send in the report on Thursday of that week.
