Secretary’s Report was approved as read on a Jean Boop/Colleen motion.
Treasurer’s Report was approved as read on a Mike/Marlene motion. Jean has filed and paid our
personal property tax as well as completing paperwork to maintain our non-profit status.
Bills & Correspondence
AWSC annual convention is March 24-26. 20th Annual Groomer Show is February 1-2. Received
correspondence for discounted rooms a Country Village Resort in Ishpeming, MI. We received a
thank you for our donation to the Wascott Area Children’s Christmas Party.
Trail Report – Trails were groomed a couple of times, but are now closed due to
the warm temperatures. Bill has been submitting grooming reports. NW Trails will
have a training session for the new SNARs reporting procedures which Bill will
attend. Reminder that we need to include first and last names on the report
when you participate in any trail maintenance work.
The new blades were welded on the groomer and all repairs are complete.
The donation that we earmarked for the Gordon/Wascott EMS has been designated
to purchase defibrillators.
Bill Grammond, Don Toon and Glenda Cherry did an audit of our books and
reported that everything is in order. Thank you for volunteering your time.
Need volunteers for meat raffles on February 4 and February 18.
We will have a club snowmobile ride when conditions improve. Announcement will
be sent via email and Facebook.
Jack volunteered to organize Business Appreciation. He will have a
proposed date(s) at the next meeting.
Swords Run is February 25. Volunteers will be asked to stamp cards at our member
businesses at the February meeting.
The roof guard on the tractor was damaged when a tree fell on it while grooming.
Mike received an estimate for repairs from Lullich Implement after determining it
was beyond what we should repair. A Mike/Marlene motion passed to file a claim with
our insurance company.
Chuck suggested developing a group text for anyone involved in grooming and regular
maintenance. Mike gathered contact numbers and will also post in the groomer
for emergency contacts.
Insurance for the club is due. The premium for physical damage for the tractor
is $1,019.70 with Scottsdale Insurance Company. Our property and liability
insurance with West Bend is $1,037. A Doris/Bill motion passed to pay the premiums
to renew these policies.
Doris proposed making changes to the website to update the information and make
it more readable. She will email Greg with the suggestions.
The Youth Turkey Hunt is scheduled for April 8.
Tom suggested that we install a lighted exit sign, smoke detectors, CO2 alarm and an
additional fire extinguisher near the door. Chuck will purchase these items.
We need to inventory and order ATV signs.
