The treasurer’s report was approved as read on a Dennis, Mark motion.
Thank you to Crystal Lake Bar and Chipmunk for their very generous donations.

Old Business
-
The flag for the ballpark has been ordered; the freight is high because of the way it needs to be shipped.
-
The septic tank will be cleaned this week and satellites will be placed near the basketball court fence.
-
The playground is done. Thank you to Wayne and Mary for making the signs for the set.
-
The grill has been replaced by a new one, but is in another location since it didn’t fit the pipe.
-
Food and Fun:
-
We still have tickets that aren’t out.
-
Discussed raffles and door prizes – be sure to let me know if you bring a door prize so we
can give credit to the donors.
-
Mary is making a poster for the new “make a guess” game with a $50.00 gift certificate as a prize.
-
Mary would like to limit the people counting money after the F and F to two so there are fewer mistakes.
-
Jean will order potato salad from Hensen’s.
-
Charles will check on beer and trailer this week. Jon is having a hard time getting a call
into Pepsi, but will keep trying.
-
We received $130.00 from Bob Sneider and his neighbors to pay for the signs on that trail
and the extra is a donation. Thank You Bob.
-
Seaman’s is interested in sending a letter to ask for access to the ATV trail.
He can send it to us and we will bring to the Town of Wascott in the spring when the ordinance is open again.
-
New signs have been placed in ruts along Crystal Lake Road to keep riders on the blacktop.
New Business
-
A new sportsman’s newspaper was passed around if anyone is interested in a membership.
-
I sent a description of our Food and Fun in to the Washburn County Tourism and it will go on
Discover Wisconsin during the next few weeks.
-
Additional power was trenched in to the ball field by Jon, Charles and Willard so that we could have
power there for the games during Food and Fun.
-
I have some hats to purchase for $10.00 and we will sell hats and sweatshirts at F and F.
-
Mark discussed the possibility of looking into getting non-profit status. Many businesses require
it for donations, and we are missing opportunities for grants from ECE because we don’t have a 501c.
It may require paying a lawyer $300.00 to $400.00 to get it done. Motion by Dick, second by Floyd to
have Charles look into it and bring back information. Motion carried. We will also do a letter next
year using our letterhead to give to businesses when asking for a donation.
-
We need a trail work day and road clean up needs to be done again. After the next meeting,
we will clean roads and if the weather is ok and there are enough people, we may do trail
work too. ( Sept 29th)
-
Jon said we need some signs on Mail Rd. Charles needs to order some new ones.
-
We have been taking posts again from Jon. Motion by Willard, second by Charles to
replace posts. Motion carried.
-
We have two new members – Doug and Pat Bush. Doug asked about logging roads being legal to ride.
They are not if not signed. It is possible to get a portion of road added to the existing town
ordinance, but we only do it once a year. A letter should be written to the club with the request
and signatures if possible.
Motion to adjourn by Charles, second by Dennis. Meeting adjourned at 10:45. Next meeting is September 29th.
Respectfully submitted,
Patricia McDermott
