August 29, 2009 - 4 Seasons Recreational Club Monthly Meeting

The secretary’s report was approved as read on a Dennis/Willard motion.

The treasurer’s report was approved as read on a Charles/Doris motion. Thanks again to the Viewpoint, Chipmunk, Crystal Lake Bar and Stop a Sec for their wonderful support in many different ways.

Nominations were held for the offices of treasurer and secretary:

Jean B. nominated Mary, second by Dennis – nominations were closed until September.
Tim nominated Doris, second by Mark – nominations were closed until September.

Old Business

The bill for signboards of $58.54 was approved on a Mark/Willard motion.

Mark has been working with Coon’s on sound system, but we will work with what we have and try adjusting some of our speakers.

Our permits for F&F are here and ready.

The can coolers are here and more are coming – will sell for $2.00.

Drag is here and needs some work. $300.00 was approved on a Dennis/Doug motion to complete this work.

A bill from C&C of $90.00 was approved on a Charles/Kay motion.

New Business

Marvin handed around some correspondence on ATV routes that he had received. He also had information on a Tucker.

Tim sent new DOT rates out.

It looks like supplemental will be 80 – 82 % and Tim informed group about some correspondence between the Town of Wascott and DC lawyer dealing with ATV issues. Doug Bush was present and he will find out more.

The planning for the driveway gravel needs to progress. Marvin has got approval from the WTDA to give $250.00 towards the gravel and asked the club for the other $250.00. Approved on a Bob/Dennis motion. Jean B. asked about the future costs and grants were discussed. The town of Wascott will be asked about the $500.00 and plowing in the future.

Motion by Mark, second by Doris to have Steve Balscik put in the gravel. Motion carried.

We will receive $1688.00 on Monday at NWTA meeting.

Trail maintenance: 3 weeks ago the whole trail was graded and was in bad shape. We need to get rear brakes fixed on the grader.

Motion to donate a fleece jacket at the cost of $35.00 to Septemberfest was approved on Dennis/Doris motion.

I have 4 books of tickets left.

We need door prizes for the F&F.

Jon: meat is ordered, dumpster and 2 toilets are ordered – put toilets by the beer.

Mark will do a pork and beef meat box for 2 raffles boards. He will put up the new flag.

Mike and Mikki and Megan are doing a cake walk. Some members have volunteered to make cakes.

Report from Get R Done event: It went well- they had people from 3 different clubs who attended. That shows clubs support each other.

4 picnic tables will be purchased on a Mark/Willard motion.

We will do a 50/50 raffle this year. Mike P. volunteered to do it. $1.00 per ticket or arms length for $20.00. We will see how it goes.

We have not done anything about nonalcoholic beer or hard lemonade. The Keups haven’t had requests.

Discussed the new door prizes system at length. One per person – everyone who purchases a ticket gets one door prized ticket.

We will meet at the park at 10:00 next Saturday to set up.
