Old Business
- The trails are closed. Grader is ready to go when they open.
- Do we want to borrow a dozer to do some work? We need to go through the trails first to see what needs to be done. Also, some gates may need to be moved or replaced.
- Our ATV class is scheduled for Thursday and Friday. It is full. We need 5 4-wheelers for the Friday session. We may want to do another one later.
- We had over 40 on the Tour of Businesses.
- May 14th is the steak feed at Soft Pines. Let Tim know if you want to go.
- The club rides are June 25th and July 16th.
New Business
- We have gotten several tables from the town hall after they replaced theirs.
- The meat raffle workers: Willard on May 7th. Dick on the 21st.
- We discussed raffle tickets. The prizes will be the same ($1500.00). We will turn the area for the name sideways and not number them. Motion by Tim. Second by Mary. Motion carried.
- Dick discussed an area on Two Mile Road that a resident wants to become a trail so it can connect to #41. Tim said it is a Minong Trail, and it doesn’t come from or go anywhere. Another request was made to add a portion of trail by Pogo’s, but since we are not allowed to go on "T", it cannot be done until the rule changes. Jan will check on it with the county.
- The Wascott Tourism would like us to do the drawing for the Summer Stampede at Food and Fun again this year. Chuck also mentioned that they may want to use our building for meetings during the summer, since their places are so busy.
- We discussed items to check on before the ATV class. We will get pop. Patti and Mick will do bars for Thursday, and Kay and Jean Brietung will bring some on Friday.
- Mark made a motion to purchase a gift certificate for Milo to help cover the cost of his ride to Wascott. Second by Mick. Motion carried.
- We will need to order brats, hotdogs, and buns for the flea market on Memorial weekend. Chuck McD has purchased an "event grill" that the club may want to look at and purchase from him for use at events like this.
- Jan Jensen county report: The Gandy Dancer is having conflicts with passes on trail in WI and MN. They are looking at all types of vehicles that so far have not been covered by rules. The D. C. highway plan has been approved. Two years after the bridge work, they will do from bridge to #53. The next year they will do bridge to #35.
- Tim reported that on May 20 and 21 the fire departments will hold the Be Somebody campaign and will need the use of canopies.
- The bridge on trail needs to be widened for the groomer. Mark has materials for the supports. Chuck has been asking around for some planks.
- The ball park pavilion needs to have a ceiling to keep birds from making a mess. Willard and Kay’s son-in-law Mike has offered 10 sheets of white metal that we can have. We will ask the town to purchase the rest, and we will put it up.
- I ordered more t shirts for the meat raffle and have the catalog if anyone wants to order.
- Take time to thank the owners of the businesses who are doing so much to help us with donations for our groomer fund.
Mick made a motion to adjourn. Second by Mark. Meeting adjourned at 11:00. The next meeting will be May 21st.
Respectfully submitted,
